Rose Bowl Monday
It's a misty, cloudy Monday here in the Carondelet Garden in South Saint Louis.  The Money Plant is hanging in there still.  I'm the most surprised of anyone!  I planted this one from seed and I'll be honest, I'm not totally convinced it is a Money Plant.  We have pictures of the plant my wife's grandmother had in her backyard.  They do not look anything alike.  I'm giving it another year to see what happens.  Who knows?

It's Rose Bowl Monday around here.  We are tried and true Notre Dame Football fans but Dr. B did her Post-Doc at Penn State, so you know we'll be cheering them on!  Let's hope Happy Valley is happy this afternoon.

It's the first Monday of January and I'm holding onto hope for this year.  Too often I place unrealistic expectations on the beginning of a new year. Nothing wrong with that except it doesn't usually work out too well for this old man.  This year I'm hoping for an okay 2023.  Okay is okay.  It doesn't have to be stupendous.  I don't need to dramatically lose weight or quit this or that bad habit overnight.  Just let everything be okay.  A simple year for a simple man.  Things have been so complicated for so long that simple sounds pretty good.  I hope you have an okay year.  A simple year filled with faith, hope and love, but mostly with love.  That's all the news from the Carondelet Garden.
