It's sunny and chilly outside in the Carondelet Garden this frosty, sunny Saturday morning.  A quiet start to our weekend.  Listening to "Radio Deluxe" with John Pizzarelli on WNYC and drinking coffee.  Not a bad way to start any day.  

There is something about sleepy, simple Saturday mornings.  A slow start that gives you a chance to breathe in and breathe out and move on.  We need a deep breath.  A long, deep breath to clear your head and mind and spirit.  We need a sleepy, simple start to the day to remind us to slow down a little and enjoy the simple things.  Enjoy the simple things.  I need to keep that little phrase on auto-repeat in my mind:  Enjoy the simple things! Enjoy the simple things! Enjoy the simple things!  

It's mid-January and we are finishing our first week of Ordinary time.  It's the perfect time to enjoy the simple things.  I hope you can slow down for just a little while and have that extra cup of coffee.  Maybe listen to some good music and enjoy the simple things.  Amen!
