It is the sixth Sunday of Ordinary Time. It is a day to reflect and respond to choices we are given. The Wisdom teachings tell us the if we choose, we can act faithfully. It is a matter of a choice. We are reminded this week that we are free. We are given the ability to choose for ourselves.
How do I choose? How do I take the time to reflect and respond to these great choices? Temptation and freedom are cumulative. They are a matter of getting into habits or choices of our own making. How do I choose my habits and make my choices? A difficult question to say the very least. I'm trying to live my simple, ordinary life. It's difficult to stop a habit. It takes time and effort and, most importantly, choice. What choice do we make? How do I reflect and respond to these choices today and in the future? We are quickly coming into the season of Lent. A time of reflection and choices. I hope you have a moment to sit and reflect. A moment to slow down and simply breathe in and breath out. A moment to make choices with Wisdom. Breathe. Amen.
