Day: 77-degrees / Night: 39-degrees
"From dust you were made and to dust you shall return." It's Ash Wednesday and we hear those words every time they make the sign of the cross across our foreheads as we begin living in the desert of Lent. I was reminded of the "dust" as I was turning over the planting beds on a beautiful day in March. Dust we were made and dust we will return but that dust gives life and gives it abundantly if we spend a little time nurturing and feeding the "dust." It takes a bit of work, but the end result is life giving. Today I am going to once again work in the dust of the Carondelet Garden. Turning over soil and preparing beds for the coming of Spring and the return of the plants and vegetables that we've been missing these Winter days. Today will be filled with a great deal of sunshine with winds out of the SW at 5 to 10 MPH. Here's hope for a Spring filled with faith, a bit of hope and an overflowing of love in all of our lives. We could sure use all of the above right now! Be kind to yourself and have a wonderful day Gardening Friends!
