It is a cloudy Monday morning here in the Carondelet Garden in south Saint Louis. The skies will remain cloudy with scattered thunderstorms developing this afternoon. Gusty winds and small hail are possible. The chance for thunderstorms and harsh weather increases overnight and into tomorrow. It's hard to fathom right now.
As we witness the devastation of Friday's tornado and harsh weather it brings a tear to the eyes and pain to the heart. So many of our maker friends have been ripped apart by the catastrophic event. Yet, even in the darkness some light comes through as we witnessed neighbors and strangers coming together to help. Volunteering and asking nothing in return. A community coming together to change things for the good. It gives one a bit of hope in a scary time. Prayers of course, but we are also sending money. It was a strange weekend to be sure. We had a funeral and a graduation. A bit of the high and the lows. That, mixed with the storms, created a roller coaster of emotions. But hope prevails as it must. Be careful today, tonight and tomorrow. Be good to yourself and kind to others, especially this week. That's all the news from here in the Carondelet Garden.
