It's a sunny start to the day here in the Carondelet Garden. A beautiful morning before the heat and humidity hit later this afternoon. For now, it is absolutely beautiful. The skies should be sunny all day with highs in the mid-90s. The winds are out of the South at 10 to 15 MPH. We have our first heat advisory starting tomorrow but I'm thinking it should probably start this afternoon. Be careful if you have to do anything strenuous this afternoon. This old gardener is finishing up all of his chores this morning.
It has been a glorious Spring here in the Garden. These Daylilies are doing their best to shine in all of their glory these past few days. What a grace to get to see these wonderful blossoms every day for a while. Last year the little Doodle puppy decided the daylilies were going to be her bed and we had very few flowers. She has grown up and listens a bit better and has, for the most part, left them alone this year and they are giving it all they have. The weekend is here. I think we will be hitting up the pool at Concordia Turners for the first time this season. With these hot temperatures we may be there several times over the next few days. Take care of yourselves. Hydrate and take frequent breaks. Be good and be kind to yourself and others as we enter into another weekend. That's all the news from here in the Carondelet Garden.
