Day:  101-degrees  |  Night:  78-degrees.
This daylily was a surprise.  I vaguely remember planting it a few years ago.  When Spire came through to replace gas meters, we cleaned out the area and then this beauty bloomed!  What a pleasant surprise.  

We opened the door to a hot, humid blast in the face.  Before 6;00 a.m. and already 82-degrees.  It's another hot, humid, heat-warning day here in South Saint Louis.  Sunny and HOT!  Winds out of the SW at 5 to 10 MPH.  It's scary hot for the next few days so please be cautious if you have to go outside to work or whatever.  Stay hydrated and take breaks.  Be good and be kind to yourself and others.  It's a good day to share a smile or some small gesture of goodwill.  Have a great Tuesday Gardening Friends!
