Day: 88-degrees | Night: 75-degrees
It was a bit cooler this morning as we ventured out into the Garden. A slight breeze and cloudy skies helped a lot. The Calla was a surprise leftover from last year. I wasn't sure it would overwinter, but it did and it's more beautiful than ever. There is something so sensuous about this lily. The curves and the movement are so amazing. I love the color as well. Here's to the heat breaking today. It's been extremely hot this summer in South Saint Louis. It seems many folks are on edge and the world stage isn't helping. Now we continue to hope. We keep the faith and try to love one another the best we can, and we hang on to hope. Bishop Desmund Tutu once said, "Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness." The darkness will fade. Morning will come. Hang on to hope the best you can. Maybe you can plant something in your garden and watch it grow. Plant a seed and watch it return its abundance. The laws of nature at work! We can expect some scattered thunderstorms this morning, then cloudy skies this afternoon. Winds are out of the East at 5 to 10 MPH. Hopefully the rain will provide us some much-needed relief. We could all use a bit of respite right now. Here's wishing you hope this Thursday. Hang on. Keep the faith. Share some love. Be good and kind to yourself today. Smile at a neighbor. Have that extra cup of coffee. Happy Thursday Gardening Friends!
