07.08.2022 | Excessive Heat Warning Friday

Day:  98-degrees  |  Night:  72-degrees
Another warm and humid morning here in the Carondelet Garden.  You can actually feel the water in the air and witness it on the sidewalks.  It's not raining but it's just wet outside.  Looking forward to a break from this heat soon, but the tomatoes and daylilies are loving the sunshine and heat.  

The tomatoes are starting to ripen and that only means one thing:  time to make red sauce!  We have been doing this for a while but this year, I hope, all of the ingredients will come directly from the Garden.  So far, so good!  It's exciting to watch but it's getting harder and harder to wait.  For now, we hope! We pray! We have a bit of faith and let nature do her thing.

Hot and humid and rain and maybe some thunderstorms.  Could be windy and gusty out there.  This is the Saint Louis mixed bag weather day.  We may get all, some or none at all.  The forecast calls for thunderstorms likely this morning with a chance for scattered storms this afternoon.  Storms may have some strong gusty winds.  Winds are currently out of the WSW at 10 to 15 MPH.  I've walked the Doodle Dog and watered my container plants on the porches.  Coffee is made and the newspapers are calling my name.  Looks like it may be a relaxing day indoors today.  Here's wishing you a bit of relaxation today or this weekend.  Be good and be kind to yourself and to those who may cross your path today.  Have a safe and wonderful Friday Gardening Friends!
