Good Thursday morning from the old gardener here in Carondelet.  It's a bit of gloomy beginning of the day here in South Saint Louis.  A few thunderstorms rolled through our area last night and into this morning bringing some much-needed rain to the garden.  Such a blessing after the near drought conditions we've been experiencing in our area this summer season.

It's a busy day on tap for this gardener.  Lunch with an old work buddy.  Then happy hour this evening with another friend to catch up.  It's always a good time catching up and visiting in person.  I can be lazy about contacting people or rely solely on texting and brief emails.  Face-to-face is so much better and you get the added benefit of food and drink!
