Day: 91-degrees | Night: 75-degrees
The Squash are starting to do their thing. The blooms are lovely as you can see. I'm excited for Butternut Squash soup this fall. I love that stuff! Slightly sweet, a bit savory and nutty goodness. Come on Fall! Okay, not too quickly. Life is passing this old man by fast enough, thank you very much. We stopped by the Tower Grove Farmers' Market in Francis Park near the Rockwell Brewery site for their bi-monthly market. Such a great time. Of course, we had to pick up some of Larder and Cupboard's Jam and her amazing Peach Rum Sauce. I could eat that on almost anything. It's that good! The weather today is a bit of a mixed bag with cloudy skies this morning becoming partly cloudy this afternoon. Winds will be out of the South at 5 to 10 MPH. A bit cooler today than we've seen, but still pretty warm. That means more and more hydration. For us and for the plants. Some of my plants are starting to really suffer from this heat. What little bit of lawn I have left is looking really sad. Of course, the Doodle Dog isn't helping. Can't complain, that's her spot! I hope someone shows you some love and kindness today. Have a great Friday Gardening Friends!
