It is cloudy and sticky out in the Carondelet Garden on this Monday morning in late July. The old rain gauge tells me we had more than 3 and one-half inches of rain in a short amount of time early this morning. The radar is showing even more rain headed out way this morning with skies becoming cloudy for the afternoon. Highs will be in the lower 90s with winds out of the SE at 5 to 10 MPH. Sometimes I pray for rain and need to be a bit more specific in my requests.
Another busy week ahead for Dr. B and the Big Guy. It's all a part of living and getting older. It's just the way things are, and I guess I'll just have to get used to it. Grumble, grumble, grumble. I've built a small, raised bed for the front parterre garden to give a bit of height in the back of the garden. We are planning our plantings now and it's exciting to add a new bed. We have definitely used every square foot of available space on our little cottage grounds here in south Saint Louis. Staying busy. Trying to stay hopeful. Keeping the faith alive as best I can. Trying to share a bit of love along the way. Keep planting. Keep growing. Enjoy the harvest when it happens. That's all the news from here in the Carondelet Garden.
