Day: 95-degrees | Night: 77-degrees
Another Heat Advisory for this Primary Election Tuesday here in South Saint Louis. It's already warm and humid out in the Garden. We are back to our watering regime just to keep things from dying off. The Coneflowers are looking lovely still. We are so lucky to be able to keep the plants alive. Our Bush Tomatoes were a bit of a bust as the heat and the water caused some issues with the ripening process. The squirrels didn't help! They seemed to love the Bush Tomatoes! The San Marzano Tomatoes, on the other hand, loved this weather and did beautifully. We had four plants an over 25 pounds of tomatoes. Very pleased with the haul because it is Marinara making time. We can sauce to enjoy all winter long! YUM! Well.. it's hot! Partly cloudy skies expected most of the day. Winds will be out of the SSW at 5 to 10 MPH. Be careful if you are working outside today. Take plenty of breaks and be kind to yourself. It's a good day to take everything a bit slower! Don't forget to vote! Have a great Tuesday Gardening Friends!
