Day:  97-degrees  |  Night:  72-degrees
It's a Heat Advisory Humpday here in the Carondelet neighborhood of South Saint Louis.  The Sage is looking quite good in this mid-summer heat.  Flourishing is the proper word. In Celtic lore, sage represented wisdom and immortality. Sage became a popular symbol of wisdom, believed to improve memory and grant wisdom. The very word sage means a wise man. There was also a superstition that sage thrived when all was going well but would start to wilt when things were going badly.
In other words, tend to your Sage and your Sage will tend to you!

I guess that is pretty true about life in general.  Tend to the small things and the big things will be easier to handle. Don't let the load get too heavy because we all have a load limit.  Share the heavy lifting. Call a family member, a friend, someone when you need that extra lift. We don't have to always handle everything alone.  I should never talk because I'm the worst offender.  I HATE asking for help.  Yet I'm getting older and can't do everything I was once able to do so I have to ask for help every once in a while.  You know what's interesting? People want to help.  They seem to actually enjoy helping! I know I do. Don't be afraid to ask for help.  I know it hard.  Even scary for some of us. Don't let that last straw break your back.

Don't let this heat and humidity break you either! It's another scorcher on the Southside today.  Partly cloudy skies this morning will give way to possible showers and thunderstorms this afternoon.  Winds will be out of the SSW at 10 to 15 MPH.  Be good to yourself today.  Stay well and hydrated.  Be kind to those you may meet on your journey.  We are all carrying some extra burdens these days.  A little love and kindness goes a long way.  Have a great Humpday Gardening Friends!
