The skies are sunny, and the humidity is soaring.  It is definitely August in Saint Louis.  We should see plenty of sunshine today and it is going to be hot!  Be careful if you are out and about today.  Stay hydrated!

We took the Garden Doodle to Lafayette Park last week and were shocked to see old George Washington with a friend on his head.  What a wonderful sight to witness!  You have to love our parks here in Saint Louis!

It was a busy weekend for the #supercoololdcouple in the Carondelet Cottage.  We got to spend some time with our chosen family for Pizza night and yesterday was a going to college party for a dear family friend's daughter.  It's so hard to believe these wee ones are growing up so fast!

In the whirlwind about us it is wonderful to be able to connect with family and friends who can make us laugh and remind us to love.  The hatred that is being thrown around is not who we are.  We are built for love.  We need that bit of love and kindness to be shared and nurtured.  

Tomorrow is primary day here in the City of Saint Louis.  I am looking forward to saving a few trees and not receiving so many political flyers in the old mailbox.  Please take a minute and vote.  It can feel a bit underwhelming sometimes.  I often feel as if I am voting against someone instead of voting for another, but it is still our right and our duty.
