Day: 93-degrees | Night: 75-degrees
It's the last of the San Marzano Tomatoes. The vines are coming out to start planting some green manure to prepare for next season. They have been super producers this year. I have nothing to compare with since this is the first year with this variety. We've made sauce twice with this variety and today we are canning the last of them. We tried freezing them as they ripened so we can them all at once. It worked the first time, so we are very excited to try again. Hot and humid again this morning out in the Garden. The Doodle Dog and I just came home from our morning constitutional, and we are both a bit hot! We can expect lots of sunshine this morning and into the afternoon with a spot thunderstorm possible later. Winds are out of the SSE at 5 to 10 MPH. It's a beautiful morning for a Farmers' Market. Enjoy the sunshine, share a smile, take a walk this morning. Stop and smell the flowers. Eat a fresh, ripe tomato. It's a good day for a good day! Happy Saturday Gardening Friends!
