What a difference a day makes.  It was close to 100-degrees yesterday and today the high should be close to 80-degrees.  A cloudy start to the day here in the Carondelet Garden but things should clear up a bit by this afternoon.  The flowers don't seem to mind the change in temperature!

It is the day after the primary election here in Saint Louis.  A mixed bag of results and mixed bag of emotions.  My prayer is always for the best for those who won.  You may not have been my choice but you will be making decisions and hopefully make good ones.  This is definitely the season of faith and hope because we can't always get the results we want.  I was happy with some and sad for others., but my faith and my hope continue!  

It is the perfect day for a bit of gardening and getting some of those chores done that it has simply been too hot for this old gardener to accomplish.  These lovely temperatures are expected to hang around for a while.  A lovely break for mid-August.  Today I wish all of us a bit of faith and hope as we move forward.  That's all the news from here in the Carondelet Garden.
