It is a hot, sticky, humid morning here in the Carondelet Garden. I woke up to 82-degrees in the darkness of early morning. The watering regime has begun again! Out very early to avoid some of the major heat of the day. Trying desperately to keep the garden as healthy as possible during this heatwave in the dog days of August.
The flowers this morning were a true gift. So many blooms bursting open and putting a smile on this old gardener's face. I have to remind myself to recognize the gifts given to me every single day. I remind myself to be grateful for the small things as well as the big ones. I work at becoming more grateful. Let's face it, grateful people are happier people. It's a warm, sticky, humid day in South Saint Louis. Be careful, stay hydrated and keep cool as you continue your journey this Ordinary Monday in late August. That's all the news from here in the Carondelet Garden.
