I blinked and now it is September! I know the official start of fall is still a few weeks away but for this old guy Fall always felt like it began just after Labor Day.  I'm old enough to remember when school didn't start until after Labor Day every year. When I first started in education all those many years ago that was the case. We were always out before Memorial Day as well.  Then again, there were no snow days to speak of in the Saint Louis Public Schools back then.  Somehow it worked.

It's a beautiful September Morn this first Thursday of September here in South Saint Louis.  It's going to be a beautiful day with a mix of sun and clouds and winds out of the SE at 5 to 10 MPH.  A truly lovely day to begin our Fall journey.  Fall always holds such promise.  Fall Festivals, College Football, Soccer returns for the kids, and so many weekend fun events all over Saint Louis.  I hope you can get out and enjoy yourself.  Take a break for you.
