It is simply stunning here in the Carondelet Garden. Partly cloudy skies with a high reaching the mid-80s this afternoon. Right now, is in the upper 50s and lovely. My sweet Bonny Doon is enjoying her soccer ball on this gorgeous mid-week morning.
Parts of the garden are winding down and other parts are just getting started. We are planting our fall veggies this week. Lettuce seedlings are finally starting to get to the right size for replanting. We are not here to simply live off the fruits of this amazing Earth. We are to replant, to prune, to till, and to love as well. The work we do, the love we give, and the way we do it is what we leave behind for the generations to come. We lost an old friend, and the funeral is this morning. A beautiful day to say goodbye for now. It's a good day for a bit of grace and kindness. Be good and be kind to yourself this midweek in September. That's all the news from here in the Carondelet Garden.
