Another beautiful sunny Sunday in October here in the Carondelet Garden.  Fall has most definitely arrived as the leaves are all changing and there is a briskness to the air.  You know it's really here when the Freeze Watch warnings are being issued.  We usually are okay as we live in the urban area and are usually the last to get the frost, but we are prepared, nonetheless.

It's a great day to relax and remember.  A long time ago a beautiful, blonde girl said yes and went on a first date with me.  Luckily for me, she said yes again later, and married me.  That first date was a long time ago, but we are still together and couldn't be happier in our retired life here in South Saint Louis.  The roads were hilly and filled with curves and a few bumps along the way.  I wouldn't have changed a thing.  I've always thought the backroads were much more interesting.  I'm so glad she said yes!


Sunny to partly cloudy skies today with winds out of the NW at 10 to 15 MPH.  A beautiful way to end the weekend.  I hope you get a few yeses today. Be good and be kind to yourself and others along your travels this Sunday in October.  That's all the news from the Carondelet Garden.
