This lovely hibiscus in our backyard is about the only sunshine we will get to see this morning. Rainy Days and Mondays as the song says. We should be seeing rain showers all day. About one inch of rain should fall down on south Saint Louis today with more expected for tomorrow. We need this heavenly moisture so there are no complaints from this old gardener!
I must confess I will be glad when this election is finally over. I'm so tired of the negativity and hopeful that things will get better. Yes, I am still holding onto hope. It's what I have, along with a bit of faith and all the love I can muster on this wet day. I continue to have hope. If you haven't already voted, I encourage you to get out and vote. On this first Monday morning in November on Election Day eve we continue to cling to faith, hope and love. We pray for our City, our State and our Country. We cling to hope, and we keep moving forward. Just as the leaves die and fall from the trees and the Winter winds bring the chill and darkness, we hold onto the hope that is Spring. That's all the news from here in the Carondelet Garden.
