The skies are sunny here in the Carondelet Garden on this humpday in November. The weather prognosticators are telling this old gardener that we may see record-breaking temperatures this afternoon. Indian Summer continues for one more day.
I know I am not the first person to put out their Christmas decorations, but it is early for me. The wonderful weather told me it was time to get the job done and it looks pretty good if I say so myself. I have a few more little jobs to do in the garden, but the good news is they are those jobs that need to be done but don't have to be done today, tomorrow, next week or even next month. They just need to be done before the next planting season begins. Work to be done but not today. The arthritic knees and bad hip are telling me to take it a bit easy on this Wednesday. The newspapers have arrived, the coffee is made, beautiful music playing on the old smart speaker. The crossword puzzle is calling my name. I'm finishing the first book in the "Thursday Murder Club" series. Such a fun mystery if you are into that sort of thing. It's a relax day here in the old Carondelet Cottage. It's a good day for a good day. We may do some running around this afternoon. Maybe even a little late lunch out. Who knows? It's anything can happen Wednesday. Be good and be kind. As that old McDonald's jingle used to say, "You deserve a break today!" That's all the news from here in the Carondelet Garden.
