Vigorous and charming, the award-winner is a perennial with upward-facing, bell-shaped rich violet-blue flowers held in dense clusters counting up to 15 flowers.  Blooming mostly from late spring to early summer, the flowers are atop sturdy leafy stems.  The leaves a green and lance shaped.  A dashing focal point in the garden, this plant is perfect for a sunny or partly shaded herbaceous border.  
  • Winner of the Award of Garden Merit at the Royal Horticultural Society.
  • Grows in sturdy clumps, up to 38-inches tall and 24-inches across.  It can spread rapidly in rich soils, forming a wide colony.
  • Thrives in full sun or part shad in average, medium, well-drained soils.  
  • Ideal for beds, border, cottage garden, and naturalized areas.  Plant in groups for the best visual impact!  A vigorous spreader, this Bellflower is alos a good ground cover.  Allow plenty of space when planting or plant to reduce the size each spring.  The blooms make excellent cut flowers that last up to 2 weeks in a vase.
  • Easy to grow, virtually disease and pest free, this low care perennial is also deer and rabbit resistant and adored by hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees.
  • Cut back after flowers, both to prevent self-seeding and to encourage a second flush of flowers.
  • Easily divided in Spring or Fall.
  • Propagate by dividing in Spring or Fall or take basal cutting in spring.
