Happy Star Wars Day gardening friends! Such a fun way to celebrate this first Thursday of May. So much is coming up: Cinco de Mayo, the Coronation of King Charles III and the Kentucky Derby. My Derby cups are coming out and getting polished up for some Mint Juleps! How are you celebrating this weekend?
The work continues here in the Carondelet Garden. We have added four new varieties of heirloom tomatoes to the garden this year: Black Krim, Cherokee Purple, Old German and Big Rainbow. As the old adage says: "A garden without tomatoes is like a String Quartet without Violins." Truer words were never spoken! We are taking a bit of a break from gardening today. We have a meeting scheduled and then later this afternoon you just might run into the #supercoololdpeople at the Tower Grove Farmers Market in Francis Park near the Rockwell Brewing Company. What a genius place to have a market! Such a fun way to sip and stroll. I hope you have the opportunity to take a little time for yourself as well. Be good and be kind to yourself and others as you travel about this Thursday in Paschaltide. Enjoy the journey! May the Fourth be with you!
